Installation Procedures

  2. Remove Dust Caps: Detach protective ESD dust caps from the QSFP+ connector end.
  3. Module Insertion: Align the QSFP+ cable connector perpendicularly with the port slot and insert smoothly until an audible click confirms positive locking.
  4. Model Verification: Cross-check part number printed on module label against on-site networking requirements.
  5. Disconnection (If Required): Unplug attached interface cables first before removing optical QSFP+ transceivers from equipment ports.

Maintenance Guidelines

  • Hot swap is permissible with host equipment powered on.
  • Modules shall remain sealed inside ESD-shielded packaging until ready for installation and only be unpacked within static-controlled working areas.

General Precautions
