B&R 5AP920.1906-K1 (referred to as CP260, also known as CPU260) is a programmable central control unit (CPU module) of B&R SYSTEM 2005 series, specially designed for industrial automation control systems. 5.1 Installation Guidelines

Insert the CP260 module into the designated double-width slot of the B&R SYSTEM 2005 rack, adjacent to the power supply module.

Install matching communication or bus interface modules into the 2 expansion slots of the CP260 according to actual network and bus system requirements.

Insert the PCMCIA memory card into the front-panel PCMCIA slot, ensuring the card thickness does not exceed 3mm to avoid installation failure or hardware damage.
5.2 Maintenance Guidelines

Battery Maintenance & Replacement: The main data buffer battery is installed on the 2005 system backplane or AC240 module, with a service life of no less than 4 years and 2.5 years respectively. The built-in CPU NiMH rechargeable battery has a service life of about 2 months. Regular battery status inspection and timely replacement are required to ensure data retention performance.

Status Monitoring & Reset Operation: Monitor the real-time operating status of the module through front-panel LED indicators. The reset button can trigger hardware reset, which will stop user programs, zero all outputs and enter the device service mode.

Interface Usage Specification: The maximum effective communication distance of the RS232 interface is 15 meters. Ensure the connection distance between programming equipment and the module is within the specified range.

Hardware Protection: Do not plug or unplug interface modules or PCMCIA memory cards when the system is powered on to prevent irreversible hardware damage.
