Applied A3202 is a new-generation X-band dual-polarization active phased array radar, typically used for meteorological detection. Equipped with dual-polarization capability, this product can accurately identify the morphology of water droplets and ice particles in rain clouds, which is extremely critical in modern meteorological services.

  • Operating Band: X-band (approximately 8.8-10.8 GHz)
  • Array Scale: Up to 256 – 400 phased array elements (depending on deployment requirements)
  • Polarization Mode: Dual polarization (HH/VV)
  • Range Resolution: Typically up to 100 meters to 250 meters
  • Volume Scan Resolution: 0.5° vertical, 0.5° horizontal or higher

  • Signal Processing Center: Executes algorithms such as pulse compression, target detection and data fusion.
  • Control Unit: Responsible for system parameter setting, health monitoring and external communication.

5. Application Fields

  • Meteorological Observation: Monitoring cloud structure, precipitation particle morphology, cloud height, cloud top temperature, etc.
  • Disaster Early Warning: Monitoring and early warning of convective rainfall intensity, severe convective weather and heavy rain.

  • Base Requirements: It should be installed on an open, unobstructed high platform or mountain top to ensure an unobstructed 360° field of view.

  • Calibration: System calibration is required after the first installation, including range calibration and polarization calibration.

Maintenance

  • Regular Inspection: Check whether the surface of the antenna array has snow, dust or corrosion.
  • Software Upgrade: Regularly update signal processing algorithms and firmware.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor unit faults through the system self-inspection function and replace faulty array elements in a timely manner.
